Fossil Dig Site Mapping and Spatial Reasoning printable activities
Fossil Dig Site Mapping and Spatial Reasoning printable activities
Your little will love using their magnifying glass to reveal the fossils in this interactive (dirt free!☺️) dig site!
There’s several ways to play with this activity:
-Use the coordinates on the strips to locate a fossil; then, add the matching mini-fossil and creature cards to the strip.
-Use the Dino cards to compare to the found fossil and write the grid location on the cards.
-Match fossils to creature after analyzing features.
-Identify the names of the creatures and cross them off the “Log.”
-Compare and sort creatures based on features (for instance, “spikes vs. horns” or “walks on two legs vs. walks on four legs”)
*This activity is FREE to my email subscribers as part of my Small Shop Summer! I’ll be creating free downloads every week in the month of August to coordinate with products from other mom-owned, small shops and then sending out the code to get them for free! Join my list to get freebies all month long!
This activity would go perfectly with Little Creators Co. resin dinosaurs and foot print plate (as seen in the photo), the My Big World Playscapes felted mat (as seen in the photo), Mamas Busy Bees fossils, and Snowy Owl Creative’s wooden dino pieces. Tap each name to visit their shop!🤗
